Well this is awkward

You've seen these boots before,
but you can't seem to put your finger on when or where
or perhaps you can.
I wore these boots a few posts ago
... and these legwarmers...
I also just wear them all the time because, I am the first person to admit, the extra few inches they give me are nice.

As much as I give myself props for making this animation, the candids always turn out to be my favorites

Dress from Urban Outfitters, vintage belt from Mom's closet, Tough Jeansmith jacket

Happy Thanksgiving everyone!
(It's the one day that I'll forgive you for leaving the top of your jeans unbuttoned)

Heaven Sent

Today I found my religion at a 4-person table near the window at Hunan Cafe & Noodle Bar
After a many-course meal, courtesy of PBlatch himself and the fine folks at HC, we finally reached the best part, fortune cookies. My hand, the decider of fate, willed me towards a certain plastic wrapper, and what I found turned out to be more than divine.

I kid you not, this little pink delight was in my cookie.
You know what they say, you need to eat the cookie for the fortune to come true...
I ate the cookie...

This is my new motto, Good clothes open many doors.

And this is only half as awesome as my fortune cookie from a few weeks ago, ask me about it in person!

By me, a fine-point sharpie, and a coveted Bazaar

If you've seen one, you've seen a mall!

I've had this blog for months and I am still useless when it comes to adding photos. No, they weren't supposed to be checkered like they are, but I guess it didn't turn out so bad!

J.Crew jacket, Fiorentini+Baker Boots...legwarmers.... skirt and lace top from LF, random pashmina

I refuse to put my legs away, goosebumps and all!

On Saturday, these boots trekked through the Danbury Mall. THERE, I SAID IT... MALL.
No, I am not a mall kind of girl. When I was younger and going to squash tournaments, I would enthusiastically await the prevalent trips to the local malls in Boston, Philadelphia, and everywhere in between. My mother dreaded these trips, claiming she wasn't one for malls. Well mother, for once I guess I agree with you on something. There is something about linoleum that makes me nauseous and less inclined to shop. And let's be honest, I am rarely not inclined to shop.
However you can hardly compare Danbury Fair to King of Prussia (Look em up)

I can deal with malls though, because even though I don't think food courts should be part of a fashion experience, trips to the mall are with friends. And I love my friends.
(Even if it's just my mom)

Sweatpants, Tee-Shirt, Chillin' With no Makeup on

A dog-sitting weekend usually means the same thing, no make-up and an over-sized sweater with leggings and a beanie... I mean I don't really mind, these are the lazy days after all.
You would all laugh at me if you saw how many times I tried to take this photo, I wanted the right amount of awkward really, and I didn't want to overuse the "eyes closed wide-smile" so I thought thumbs up was the way to go. I don't know what we all saw in Photobooth back in Middle School, maybe we were just exploring the field of self-photography; However, I am certainly not encouraging a revival.
A day at Pyramid and a Macbeth essay await me (Macbeth, it's the Shakespeare play that just won't go away!), but I can't help but spend all my time making my Christmas list. Oh guys, it's gonna be a good one. I've finally found a shoe store I can afford without compromising real leather. Hallelujah, it's a miracle... but I won't give away my secret just yet, you'll have to work for that!
Everybody needs some humility, don't you think?
When I was younger, I used to make comics all the time, I'm going to try and get back into that, and I will definitely share them. Also, I made a collage for my grandmother that I will upload before I send to her

Ra Ra Ra

I guess now that the new quarter has begun, I don't really have much of an excuse not to post. I recently rediscovered a bunch of photos I dragged onto my desktop from Bazaar taken at NY fashion week that I thought were noteworthy.

Vera Wang
(Yes, this is wonderful, I know)

Vera Wang

Ralph Lauren

Proenza Schouler
(I find it ironic that the brand I love for its funky patterns wins me over with sheer black... I love sheer black...)

Michael Kors (whom I am traditionally not a fan of. Bravo!)

Donna Karan
(I want to marry this dress)

Calvin Klein
(I need a black jumpsuit so badly. The only one in my house is one Olivia bought from Forever 21 and is, honestly, atrocious...)

I miss shopping...so much. I anxiously await my return to the streets of SoHo

And also, I've decided to make a section called I wish I was you because I saw this article on harpersbazaar.com
where blogger Tamu McPherson took shots of fashion show-goers
outside Paris fashion week.
And yes, I want to be them, for their poise and style, but also because they got to go to
Paris fashion week...

Haha why does this remind me of Balzac and the Little Chinese Seamstress?

So elegant, I love it

I like yo hat

Those booties are sick

breathtaking

Oh Alexa Chung, you're just awesome

Spotted

With it being the end of the first quarter, I have been so busy that I haven't been able to blog much. So I apologize to you, my loyal bijou following.. I promise to get back the momentum I seem to have lost!

I feel as though I need to prove a point with this moccasin boot thing, so I am snapping photos on the only man in my life right now (That's you, Blak Berri) of all of the 3-row and even gulp 5-row moc boots I see around these parts.
*there is identity secrecy, many of you I don't know, but there are also people I do know
(and even like)
(Ok, 'like' is a stretch)

The black ones aren't worn as much, I have a pair of black 1-row moc boots, however the row-verdose on these shoes kill the native vibe for me.

Notice how it looks like the same person as the preceding photo because it's the same shoes with skinny jeans on the brick out by the bus-stop. Well it's not, my point exactly!
Also, the fringe-malfunction bears a shocking resemblance to getting your skirt stuck in your bloomers.... yikes!

Espionage right here, quite the stealthy maneuver

Alright, this is all I have for now, but I will post every moc photo I take!
And I will be back with more posts soon
